The Williamstown Literary Festival is on this weekend in Melbourne’s favourite historic seaside village. Now in its eighth year, the festival runs from Friday April 29 to Sunday May 1, although strictly speaking events begin today. The festival features an impressive line-up of guests, including Steven Amsterdam in a panel on getting a debut novel published, Dave Graney (who’s also appearing at the Wheeler Centre at lunchtime tomorrow) on musical memoirs, Gideon Haigh on cricket, Judy Horacek on cartooning, as well as Anna Krien, Angela Meyer, Shaun Micallef, Tony Wheeler and many more besides.
