Stephen Hall's writing and performing career dates back to the 1980s. Since writing TV comedy for Full Frontal, he's written for over 30 TV shows, and performed in nearly 50; notably as a regular cast member of Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell from 2012 - 2022.
In 2016, John Cleese hand-picked Stephen to play the role of Basil in Mr Cleese's play Fawlty Towers Live, which toured Australia for 157 performances.
Stephen has written and performed two one-man shows for the Melbourne Comedy Festival (Raiders of the Temple of Doom's Last Crusade and Letters From My Heroes), the second of which recently completed a successful regional tour.
He's published one fiction book (the sci-fi novel Symphony Under Siege), one non-fiction book (How to Win Game Shows) and one book that's EXACTLY half fiction and half non-fiction (50 Things To Be Seriously Grateful For Today* *and 50 not-so-serious things to illustrate them)!
