Sally Rice

Sally is currently the General Manager of Community at Moira Shire. She is one of three General Managers who report directly to the CEO.

Her portfolio includes the areas of Environment Sustainability, Community, Economic Development, Tourism and Waste services. She leads a team of approximately 50 staff with an annual operating budget of nearly $15 million.

Sally has a Bachelor of Science with Honours and has recently completed an MBA. She started working with Moira Shire Council in 2006 in a part time short term maternity leave position in the Community Development Team. She has worked for Council, in a variety of roles throughout the organisation, ever since.

Sally lives in rural Victoria with her husband and two dogs. She is happiest when she is with them watching her beloved Tigers having another win!
