Ilse Crawford creates modern and emotional brands, products, interiors, buildings and furniture.
In 1989, she founded the British magazine, Elle Decoration, making it an international decorating bible. As vice president of Donna Karan Home, Crawford regenerated the brand. She has since started her own company Studioilse and is also head of department at the celebrated Design Academy Eindhoven. She has designed environments for Soho House and Aesop and her table lamp for Wastberg is considered a modern classic. Crawford’s first book, Sensual Home: Liberate Your Senses and Change Your Life, is the ideal syllabus on design for modern living.
