Elena Hogan

Elena Hogan is an emerging writer, artist and photographer working on unceded Wurundjeri land. Since 2021, Elena has been developing and writing her debut novel, Everything Before Gia. What began in notebooks of daily paraphernalia, musings and images gradually evolved into over 600 pages of unpublished material. Everything Before Gia is a family saga, a queer mystery, a tender romance and a social commentary on transgender rights. Elena completed her Bachelor of Arts in 2022 at the University of Melbourne majoring in English Literature and Creative Writing. She has been published by Farrago, Voiceworks, the Emerging Writers Festival and Regional Arts Australia.
