Alex Dyson

After graduating from the University of Melbourne with a Creative Writing degree, Alex Dyson was thrust into the limelight as one of the co-hosts of the national Triple J Breakfast Show alongside his childhood friend, Tom Ballard. After years in the chair and an ARIA award for best comedy release under his belt, Alex was joined by new co-host Matt Okine, and together they built one of Australia’s most iconic national radio shows Matt & Alex; broadcasting to over 1.1 million Australians every week and interviewing everyone from Nirvana to Arnold Schwarzenegger and Julia Gillard. Matt & Alex now host the All Day Breakfast podcast on LiSTNR.

Alex’s debut young adult novel, When It Drops, is a story about family, friends, fame and the importance of never leaving your computer unattended. It was released by Hardie Grant in May 2020.
