In this special event, Inala Cooper and Elizabeth McCarthy unveil the six outstanding authors shortlisted for the 2025 Stella Prize and celebrate the power, craft and impact of their stories.
Since 2012, Stella Prize has championed outstanding writing by Australian women and non-binary authors, advancing gender equity and driving cultural change across the nation. Past winners – such as Evelyn Araluen, Jess Hill, Sarah Holland-Batt, Charlotte Wood and Alexis Wright – have left an indelible mark on the nation’s literary landscape.
At this special event at The Wheeler Centre, hosts Inala Cooper and Elizabeth McCarthy will announce the highly anticipated 2025 Stella Prize shortlist. Be among the first to discover the six remarkable books and authors in contention for this prestigious award as Cooper and McCarthy delve into these bold, thought-provoking works that define contemporary Australian literature.
