Rick Morton: Mean Streak

Book Now

Rick Morton exposes the fraud and damage wrecked by the Australian government’s Robodebt scheme.

Robodebt saw close to half a million Australian welfare recipients illegally pursued over fake debts, with catastrophic results. Journalist and author Rick Morton followed the case closely and in his new book, Mean Streak, he exposes the wrecking ball that the Australian government’s Robodebt scheme tore through the fabric of a system intended to support society’s most vulnerable.

In conversation with Sophie Black at Queenscliffe Literary Festival, Morton discusses his extraordinary new book that follows the legal challenges, royal commission and the lives lost as a consequence of the scheme.
