Welcome to the Shaun Micallef variety hour, where anything goes ... as long as it’s in praise of the latest addition to the Australian literary canon: Micallef’s new book Slivers, Shards and Skerricks.
Often, it is untimely death that forces the recognition of genius, but Shaun Micallef would like you to honour his creative and comic wit now, please.
At this special event, Micallef is joined live (and kicking) on stage by some of the many mischief-makers he has conspired with, influenced and tormented over the course of his illustrious career. They’ll celebrate Micallef’s cultural and comedic impact, and his new anthology collecting the very best of his comic writing: Slivers, Shards and Skerricks.
Join Micallef and special guests – including Stephen Hall, Mark Humphries, Sammy J, Veronica Milsom, Emily Taheny and Christie Whelan Browne – for a night of speeches, comedy, performance, sentiment and subtle roasting, dedicated to a man who is nowhere near done with making Australians laugh.
Presented in partnership with RMIT Culture.
