The Victorian Poetry Month Gala returns for a third year with some of the country’s most exciting and groundbreaking poets presenting work across a range of forms.
Some of the most exciting and groundbreaking poetic talents from around the country come together for the third annual Poetry Month Gala to share brilliant works and celebrate the 20th anniversary of Australia’s leading poetry organisation, Red Room Poetry. Launched in 2021, Red Room’s Poetry Month aims to increase access, awareness and visibility of poetry in all its forms and for all audiences. Discover new work from a dazzling line-up of poets working across forms – from spoken word and performance to music and multimedia – including Susie Anderson, Manisha Anjali, Emilie Zoey Baker, Andrea Goldsmith (reading unpublished poems by Dorothy Porter), Eloise Grills, Kevin Jared Hosein, Maya Hodge, Andy Jackson, Jason Steger, Jessica Wilkinson, and a collaboration between Erik Jensen and Evelyn Ida Morris. Hosted by Izzy Roberts-Orr.
