His work has been translated into 24 languages, earning him numerous accolades including the National Book Critics Circle Award for Criticism and the Windham–Campbell Literature Prize. Blending criticism with memoir, Dyer’s newest book, The Last Days of Roger Federer sets his own experiences of late middle age against the last days and last works of writers, painters, footballers, musicians, and tennis stars who’ve mattered to Dyer throughout his life.
