Compost Kids: School Holiday Workshop

Perfect for primary-aged children, Compost Kids is an interactive workshop teaching kids the how-and-why of composting and empowering them to positively impact the environment through creative and playful activities.

This school holidays, come and get your hands dirty at the Wheeler Centre in a playful program for primary-aged children, led by passionate artists and teachers Alice Glenn and Steph Hughes. Offering an interactive and fun way to learn about the environment, Compost Kids empowers young people to have a positive impact on the environment through composting. They will learn about the how-and-why of composting – from demonstrations (in closed containers!) of the various stages of composting, to creating their own compost character. This workshop shows young people that small actions can lead to big outcomes, and will inspire and empower them to make a difference in their community. This event is recommended for children aged 5-10 years old, but all ages are welcome!
