Following international acclaim for her novels and their award-winning TV adaptations, Australian star Liane Moriarty returns to Melbourne to discuss her latest novel, Apples Never Fall.
Moriarty’s nine internationally bestselling novels include Truly Madly Guilty, Big Little Lies and Nine Perfect Strangers – the latter two of which have produced critically celebrated television adaptations starring Nicole Kidman, Meryl Streep and Reese Witherspoon.
In her latest work, Apples Never Fall, Moriarty imbues a family saga with the atmosphere of a tense mystery thriller as she follows the Delaneys, an enviably contented family whose seemingly rosy lives are upended when their matriarch goes missing months before her 70th birthday.
Join Liane Moriarty and host Toni Jordan, with an introduction from novelist and RMIT University lecturer Michelle Aung Thin, as they discuss Apples Never Fall, its themes of unfulfilled promise, and Moriarty’s ongoing global success.
