The Outer Sanctum was started in 2016 by a group of female AFL fans, as a space to share their love of a game they’d often been excluded from. Since its debut, the podcast has become a powerful voice in the footy landscape, and a force for change, diversity and equality in the game. It’s now broadcast on ABC Radio, and has become a must-listen across both the AFLM and AFLW seasons for the hosts’ collective insights and fearless, smart analysis of the sport and its wider impacts.
On the eve of the 2020 AFLW finals series, join us for a special live recording of The Outer Sanctum at the Wheeler Centre. Expect a passionate celebration of the rise and rise of women’s sport; a discussion of the expanded 2020 AFLW competition (including the controversial conference system); a look back at the season that was; a preview of the 2020 finals – and of course, tips for who might take home the flag.
