Featuring
Paul Dalla Rosa
Paul Dalla Rosa is a writer based in Melbourne, Australia. His stories have appeared in Granta, The Paris Review, McSweeney's, Meanjin and New York Tyrant. In 2019, his story 'Comme' was shortlisted for the Sunday Times Short Story Award ...
Inga Hanover
Inga Hanover challenges herself to visually respond to a page a day of Marcel Proust’s Remembrance of Things Past. Her visual translation is a personal diary and a response to the outside world. Just as her book is not a straight narrative, her drawings are not meant to be read as a continuing narrative, but instead as a daily response to Proust’s words.
Nadia Niaz
Nadia Niaz is a writer and academic who is now mostly from Melbourne, and still a little bit from lots of other places. She has a PhD in Creative Writing and Cultural Studies, and teaches poetry and creative writing to everyone from pre-schoolers to postgraduates. Nadia’s own writing has appeared in Strange 4, Text, Mascara Literary Review, Cordite, and Alhamra Literary Review. She is the recipient of a 2016 Wheeler Centre Hot Desk Fellowship for the completion of her first novel.
Nadia was a co-editor of New Scholar’s ‘Belonging Issue’, a special edition produced as the culmination of the Belonging Project, an interdisciplinary forum for the interrogation of the concept of ‘belonging’ initiated by the Australia Centre at the University of Melbourne. Her areas of interest are multilingual creative expression, particularly in poetry, and language use among third culture kids and other globally mobile cohorts.
Stephanie Van Schilt
Stephanie Van Schilt is editor of The Lifted Brow and co-host of The Rereaders podcast. The former TV columnist for Kill Your Darlings, Stephanie's writing has featured in various publications including Metro, Crikey, Junkee and the Big Issue.
She's currently completing a PhD in Creative Writing at Monash University and tweets @steph_adele.
Yvette Walker
Yvette Walker has a BA (Honours) and a PhD from Curtin University. She was a writing fellow at Varuna, the Writer's Centre, in 2009 and again in 2011. Her debut novel, Letters to the End of Love, was published by University of Queensland Press.
Letters to the End of Love won a 2014 WA Premier's Book Award (WA Emerging Writer) and was shortlisted for a 2014 NSW Premier's Book Award (Glenda Adam's Award for New Writing). She is currently working full time on her second novel called Stranger, If You Passing Meet Me.
