Irreverent, satirical and original, in the past two decades Nick Earls has established himself as one of the most popular voices in contemporary Australian literature, while never forgetting to make his books utterly readable.
Nick’s latest novel is Analogue Men, a piercingly funny look at the technology crisis facing men who not too long ago thought of themselves as ‘young’ and who are now staring down the barrels of iPads, sexting and emoticons. Protagonist Andrew Van Fleet finds himself swamped by digital technology he can’t work out, saddled with teenagers who speak a language he doesn’t understand and under siege by his father’s short-tempered bulldog.
