You know what, I am sick and tired of schools being bagged for not teaching music. Government primary schools don't have the funding to hire specialist music teachers or to buy instruments for children to learn to play. If parents think it's so important, then it's about time *they* started pressuring governments to resource schools properly...

I haven't even listened to this yet but if Richard Gill speaks, I listen. He spoke at my graduation ceremony last year at ACU and he was awe inspiring and I wanted to stand up and cheer for him.
As a former teacher, Lisa, I understand your frustration and agree that parents have to be willing to invest in their childrens education in a more proactive way, including music.
