Parish priest? Yes. Social advocate? Sure. Revolutionary? Maybe. Cantankerous? Definitely. Father Bob Maguire has become a living national treasure for his forthright opinions.

In this Lunchbox/Soapbox he talks about religion as rebellion, how time should be more than chronology and why his God differs from the one Richard Dawkins doesn’t believe in. But most importantly, Father Bob talks about how community could be “the miracle of the species”.

sorry I miised soapbox. Election debate was so boring . Neither person wanting to upset voters. Very rehearsed and little spontaneity. Need more honesty and some fire. Vote for Father Bob.

Marvelous !! Father Bobs' grasp of history and how it connects us all is a joy to listen to. He really is a very wise, warm, hard working human...and so funny !
