Oi space cadet there are dogs uncovering IEDs in Afghanistan and Iraq as we speak. An Australian dog was killed last week in the service of his country.

Great topic....
Given our consistent affection and addiction to dogs here in Oz, this is a timely and witty piece...Heroic hounds indeed - any animal that opts to be close to humans takes one hell of a risk! Needless to say, I am an exception to the random cruelty of our species in their treatment of dogs..
