$2 for Ballarat Writers Inc members.
Events:Bi-monthly readings and open mic session, workshop series,
poetry mentoring and other activities including the Ballarat Writers CYA
Festival.
Publications: Bi-monthly newsletter for members
Competitions: Southern Cross Literary Competition (next in 2011),
Martha Richardson Memorial Poetry Prize (next in 2012) – competitions
close October, alternating each year.
Description: Ballarat Writers Inc was established in 1989. A non-profit
organisation that is entirely volunteer-run, the group is committed to
supporting aspiring and established writers in Ballarat and the Western
Victorian region. It regularly produces quality events, workshops and
other professional developmental opportunities for members and the
community. Membership $30 waged and $20 concession.
