It offers practical advice as well as an overview of the industry today from some of Australia’s top authors, illustrators, editors and publishers. The Festival will have creative value for writers and illustrators and bring together writers of all levels of experience to develop their skills and celebrate story, reading, illustration and writing. Plus, attendees have the chance to get their work in front of publishers with the First Page Competition, in which a panel of publishers choose 6 first pages from the entries and discuss their merits in the final session of the day.
