One of Australia’s best-loved stolen New Zealander comedians, Tony Martin starred in The D-Generation and has just released his book, A Nest of Occasionals.
Over the last 25 years, New Zealand-born comedian Tony Martin has had a crack at pretty much everything. He was a writer and performer on the cult TV comedies The D-Generation and The Late Show, and has made regular appearances on Kath & Kim and Thank God You’re Here.
He was one half of radio’s Martin/Molloy, and the creator of the massively successful Get This radio show and podcast. He wrote and directed the movie Bad Eggs and the controversial unreleased mockumentary BoyTown Confidential. He has toured Australia with his stand-up comedy, shared the ARIA Award for Best Comedy Album a record four times, and his first book, Lolly Scramble, is now in its fourth printing.
He currently writes for humour website The Scrivener’s Fancy and will soon be displaying his ignorance of all things historical on SBS’s Adbc. His second book, A Nest of Occasionals, was published in Picador in October 2009
