Ranjana Srivastava

Dr Ranjana Srivastava is an oncologist, who’s first book is Tell Me the Truth: Conversations with my patients about life and death.

Dr Ranjana Srivastava is a medical oncologist working at Southern Health, one of Australia’s largest public hospital networks. In 2004 she won Australia’s highest-ranked postgraduate Fulbright Award to complete a fellowship in medical ethics at the prestigious MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics at the University of Chicago.

Ranjana has volunteered with the Missionaries of Charity and the Commonwealth Service Abroad Program in the tsunami-ravaged Maldives and has worked with the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre in Melbourne. Ranjana published her first article as a medical student in the Lancet and has since continued a productive career in writing, publishing in such prestigious publications such as Time, the New England Journal of Medicine and Journal of the American Medical Association. She writes a regular column for the Indian edition of the international magazine, The Week. Ranjana has also won the Cancer Council of Victoria Arts award for outstanding writing.
