Maya Ward

Maya Ward is the author of The Comfort of Water: A River Pilgrimage, published by Transit Lounge, has been shortlisted for the National Year of Reading ‘Our Story’ project.

Maya has worked as a musician, festival director, urban designer and environmental educator. She didn’t mean to become a writer but she walked the length of the Yarra from the sea to the source, an experience she simply had to share. In doing so, she caught the writing bug.
