Gareth Evans

Gareth Evans is an academic, writer and former foreign minister.

Gareth is Professorial Fellow at the University of Melbourne, Chancellor of the Australian National University and President Emeritus of the International Crisis Group, which he led from 2000-2009. He was a member of the Australian Parliament for 21 years. He was a cabinet minister in the Hawke and Keating governments for 13 of those years and served as foreign minister from 1988 to 1996.
