





Alice Pung’s memoir Unpolished Gem won the Australian Book Industry Association award for Newcomer of the Year and was short-listed for numerous other awards.
In 2008 she edited Growing Up Asian in Australia, which is now studied in high schools and universities around the nation.
A lawyer by trade, she contributes regularly to the Age, Monthly, Good Weekend and Best Australian Stories. She has also written plays, and been a writer in residence in Beijing (Peking University), Iowa University and Alaska. Alice’s next book will be out in 2011.
