State of Design 9 to 5: Gareth Pugh

Fashion designer Gareth Pugh has received global recognition and wide critical acclaim for his outlandish clubwear and novel approach to redefining modern luxury. He challenges set attitudes towards clothing and design. As one of London’s most exciting and innovative designers, Pugh produces immaculately made, nonsensically shaped, wearable sculptures designed to distort the human body almost beyond recognition.

The 9 to 5 Talks Program is a series of live, Skype conversations in a Q&A format. Melbourne’s leading designers will pose nine critical questions to five of the world’s most important design thinkers.
