Lunchbox / Soapbox: Chris Flynn

This event is now complete.

The Heroic Hound

If you’ve been wondering why the world around us seems to be falling to pieces, there is a simple answer to your question – we are living in the only decade of the past century that has no brave, unflinching dog to save us.

The hounds of classic literature paved the way for heroic mutts like Lassie, Benji, The Littlest Hobo and Inspector Rex to fight crime, unite broken families, travel through time and sort out that cheeky cat next door. Where would man be without his best friend? In the doghouse, that’s where. Chris Flynn goes walkies with some notable canines from novels and film.

This event is presented in co-operation with the Emerging Writers' Festival.
